Trash ‘N’ Stash Celebrates Its Ruby Anniversary

A lot has changed during the past four decades but one thing that hasn’t wavered is Trash ‘N’ Stash’s commitment to outstanding customer service.

Since it began servicing greater Melbourne in 1984, Trash ‘N’ Stash has gone from strength to strength while meeting the demands of a growing and changing community.

As the community has evolved, Trash ‘N’ Stash has evolved with it from those early days with one second-hand truck to a fleet of state-of-the-art equipment in 2024.

Trash ‘N’ Stash co-founder Ann Jupp said 2024 marked the company’s 40th anniversary, a milestone that ranks highly in the organisation’s long list of accomplishments.

“We feel very privileged to have been able to serve the community of greater Melbourne for the past 40 years and we feel even more honoured to have made so many great friends along the way,” Ann said.

“Our commitment has always been to our customers and we can’t express enough our gratitude to everyone who has entrusted us with their waste management requirements these past 40 years.”

As well as providing first class service to customers, Ann said she was also immensely proud of the impact Trash ‘N’ Stash has had on community groups such as local sporting clubs, CFA brigades and local school groups through the company’s sponsorship program.

“The community has stood behind us for 40 years and nothing gives us more pleasure than giving back in the form financial sponsorship or in-kind support,” Ann said.

“We are a family-run business that live and work in the local community, giving us an intimate understanding of the vital role these groups play and we are only too happy to support them.”

Since its inception, Trash ‘N’ Stash has been run by the Jupp family with all four of Ann and Stan’s sons: Anthony, Jon, Alex and Billy having worked for the company over the journey.

After starting in 1999, Jon Jupp has helped shape Trash ‘N’ Stash into what it is today as the company’s Managing Director and he believes the best is yet to come.

“There’s no doubt 40 years is a wonderful achievement and I’m immensely proud of the legacy Trash ‘N’ Stash has created ,” Jon said.

“I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
